Kratom Gummies vs Kava Gummies: What’s the Difference?

Illustrative botanical imagery. Product details and original reports are linked below.
Kratom gummies and kava gummies use different botanicals. Kratom comes from Mitragyna speciosa; kava comes from Piper methysticum. In the KP collection, the kratom strength field names mitragynine and the kava field names kavalactones.
Both product lines say 50mg per gummy, but those numbers refer to different compounds. They are useful within the correct product context, not as a scale of equivalent effects.
The differences at a glance
| Detail | KP kratom gummies | KP kava gummies |
|---|---|---|
| Botanical | Mitragyna speciosa | Piper methysticum |
| Named strength field | 50mg mitragynine / gummy | 50mg kavalactones / gummy |
| Flavors | Black Cherry, Green Apple, Island Punch | Berry |
| Pack counts | 5, 20, 40, 80, 160 | 5, 20, 40, 80, 160 |
| Laboratory records | One report for each kratom flavor | Berry sample report |
| Formulation check | Full ingredients and allergens | Full ingredients and allergens |
All four products have their own page in the gummy collection. Each page separates pack selection from the report and current availability.
What the different plants mean
Kratom’s alkaloids can interact with opioid receptors, and people report both stimulant-like and sedating experiences. Dependence and withdrawal are possible with regular use. NCCIH describes the evidence and risks.
Kava has its own pharmacology and research history. A clinical trial of a particular kava-root tablet preparation is not evidence about a kratom gummy, and it is not automatically evidence about a kava gummy either. For example, the 2020 kava trial studied an aqueous root extract in tablets, not the products in this collection.
This is why choosing between the two starts with the botanical and your health circumstances, not a favorite flavor or the smallest-looking piece.
Why 50mg does not mean the same thing
A milligram is a unit of mass. It becomes informative only when you know what was weighed or measured. “50mg mitragynine” and “50mg kavalactones” identify different chemical contents. The matching number cannot predict a matching intensity, duration or outcome.
For the specific fields in each line, use the kratom 50mg explanation and the kavalactone guide.
Compare the reports by scope
| Flavor | Measured compound | Result per gummy | Sample |
|---|---|---|---|
| Black Cherry | Mitragynine | 52.9mg | 2608474-002 |
| Green Apple | Mitragynine | 50.8mg | 2608474-003 |
| Island Punch | Mitragynine | 51.8mg | 2608474-001 |
| Berry Kava | Total kavalactones | 50.5mg | 2502550-001 |
These are reported sample results, not promises about every future batch. The kratom documents include additional analyses; the Berry report covers kavalactones only. Compare the actual panels and units rather than treating the phrase “lab tested” as a complete description.
Separate products, separate ingredient checks
KP’s Berry Kava is a separate product from the three kratom flavors. The collection is not a single gummy that combines kratom and kava. Read the individual product name if you arrive through a search or a shared image.
Final gummy ingredient and allergen statements are still being confirmed before ordering opens. Avoid inferring dietary attributes from the named fruit flavor or package artwork. Those details belong to the complete recipe and current label.
A clearer way to choose
- Identify the botanical you are researching.
- Read the relevant introductory guide and health information.
- Check the product’s full ingredients, named strength field and report.
- Compare the pack count and current price for that product.
- Confirm current availability and destination requirements.
The two formats also share a practical storage need: keep the original labeled packaging and store it securely away from children and pets. Ask a qualified clinician about health or medication questions; a format comparison cannot resolve individual suitability.
