What Does 50mg Mean on a Kratom Gummy?

Four fields that are easy to confuse

A product described only as “50mg kratom” leaves a question unanswered: 50mg of what? An informative description names the substance and the basis. KP separates the 50mg mitragynine line designation from its laboratory results.

The label names the product line. The COA records the laboratory’s findings for a submitted sample. A result that differs from the round line designation should remain visible as its own result rather than being silently rounded into the marketing number.

The three flavor-specific results

Each row refers to its own submitted sample. These numbers are not a taste ranking or evidence that one flavor produces a particular experience. Check the product and sample identity when matching a report to an item.

Total alkaloids is another field. For example, the Black Cherry report lists 54.7mg total alkaloids per gummy, while mitragynine is 52.9mg. The total includes more than the mitragynine result alone.

Per-piece content and package arithmetic

Package arithmetic is straightforward once the basis is clear: the line designation per piece multiplied by the number of pieces gives the total implied by that designation. For example, 50mg × 20 pieces = 1,000mg mitragynine across the package on the product-line basis.

That is label arithmetic, not a separate laboratory measurement of every piece in the pack and not a serving recommendation. The individual sample results above remain separate facts. Avoid multiplying a result from one flavor or sample across a different product.

Why Berry Kava’s 50mg is different

Berry Kava uses the same numerical line designation but names kavalactones. These are different compounds from mitragynine. A matching milligram figure cannot establish equivalent strength, effects or a substitution between kratom and kava.

Where to go beyond the number

Compound content is one part of a product’s identity. Ingredients, allergen information, other analyses, package instructions and your own health circumstances still matter. A COA is not clinical evidence that a gummy produces a particular effect.
