Where kratom comes from
Mitragyna speciosa grows in Southeast Asia. In southern Thailand, people have chewed fresh leaves during physically demanding work. In Malaysia, where kratom is known as ketum or biak, leaves have been brewed with water and shared in village social life. Borneo, shared by Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei, lies within the plant’s native range.
Kratom can produce stimulation and alertness as well as relaxation and sedation. Effects vary with the leaf’s chemistry, the amount consumed and the individual. A strain name or leaf color does not guarantee a particular experience.

How do I choose between leaf selections?
If you already have a favorite, start there. If you want to try something different, our free leaf samples let you try two selections before buying a full-size bag. Names and colors do not reliably predict how a batch will feel; the leaf’s chemistry and your own response both matter.
How does plain leaf differ from an extract?
Plain leaf contains the plant’s naturally occurring alkaloids in ground leaves. An extract concentrates those compounds. A gram of leaf and a gram of extract are not equivalent, and neither are a leaf capsule and an extract chew.
Are there added extracts or flavors?
No. This powder contains finely milled Mitragyna speciosa leaf only. Its earthy aroma and bitterness come from the leaf itself.
